Michael Alford is known for his expressive painting style that fuses classical technique with a sharp, modern sensibility.
The painting below, 'Nude, Taffeta' is a perfect example of this.
Them: “Can you keep your drawings appealing and clear while also maintaining a classical sensibility?”
Me: “Huh? No, yeah. Totally.”
@MattDraperYT Personally a fan of Ed McGuinnes' work. It's the perfect blend of the insane 90s overly muscular comics art with a more cartoony sensibility.

As I was walking towards the @houstonalamo in my Sense & Sensibility host getup, a mother and daughter were about to cross my path. The little girl (wearing a fabulous Elsa-themed dress) dropped the cutest curtsy/bow, which I had to return. It was the best.
I attended my first live figure drawing session since college--such a special experience! Grotesque Burlesque is weekly figure drawing with an offbeat sensibility. These models were puppeteers from Rough House Theater--predictably, I focused on the people rather than the puppets.
