I typically start with "hyperrealistic painting" and use one of a couple famous natural landscape painters, especially john constable or thomas cole. That generates images like this one, which are beautiful but have more blurred edges

Personally IMHO the Best Batman stories are where he is more grounded, using his detective work, but also being a badass physical specimen, but like I said above being relatively realistic to the realm of reality set, vs him doing CaptainAmerica/BlackPanther level physical feats
