Oooh, and The Sentinel .. now that was a cracking good game. {loading-screen is C64 .. in-game shots from the Amiga version, which was virtually identical, but a higher resolution screen.} It's like some weird lucid nightmare where you're on a Star Trek 3D chessboard. 😁

Time to mention a bit of an odd-ball C64 game that I remember playing as a kid: Floyd the Droid. Sewer-cleaning robot. Eliminates slime and blockages with his extendable arm, or can vanquish bats and crocodiles with a head-mounted laser, or a well-timed jump. It had potential. 😁

Publicado primero en el Reino Unido, fue el primer gran bombazo realizado en España. Un hito sobre el que han corrido ríos de tinta.

Game Ending:

Double Dragon [Ocean] -

The very first Double Dragon never attracted me so much, no matter what version is..C64 had even 2 version; this one is from Ocean and, at least, has good graphics and a nice ending tune.

Commodore64 versions of my abstract tree serie (at least, I tried to find the exact C64 colors)

Hmmm. 🤔
Oh, I think the problem was me! 😁
I'm old, with slow-reactions these days (and am too lazy to break out the old C64/Amiga joysticks sometimes).. So the C64 and Amstrad ones I eventually cheated on for an easy play-through. I couldn't find a good cheat Speccy version. 😋

To my surprise, it was the Amstrad one that impressed me. There was just something a little better with the responsiveness of the controls, and how I could fluidly get in attack moves a bit better than one the C64 version. (Also, it didn't seem to want me dead in 30 seconds.) 😋

Late last year I did try out all three, as I'd only ever played the absurdly cruel (but undeniably pretty) C64 version up until that point. 😁 I'd heard the Amstrad version was pretty good, so I thought "what the heck" and tried out all three. Verdict: C64, still pretty/cruel. 😋
