Oh I guess for newer bug* art for I have these doodles!
I named my novel characters after invertebrates. I haven't drawn the fly yet, but I have another character named for the Lucilia genus.

*bug in the most loose sense of the word, none of these are true bugs 😆

A Coal Grunter about to dine on prawn for feat. a fish & their invertebrate prey. They’re predatory fish & particularly dig prawns. It was suggested a while back to draw this Australian freshwater fish by a fan of my art.

A wasps' nest (in Monaghan, last October), with balletic movement as they build their winter home. A horizontal slit scan shows about 150 wasp journeys per minute, or about 40,000 return trips per day taking earth from the nest and returning with food and wood-pulp.

Any love for the This federally endangered species is found on the West Coast from Pt Arena, CA down to around Punta Eugenia, MX. Withering disease is the main cause of decline, although numbers seem to be rising around the Channel Islands!
