You ever read about megafauna? You ever look up the giant sloth? These guys were everywhere in the 1980s. I grew up in an apple orchard town, you'd see them there every day. You don't see them around anymore. This was before the Internet. Probably why it's not more widely known.

Stephanorhinus kirchbergensis calf chases pretty grasshoppers on a sandy heathland in Eemian Jutland.

These three particular grasshopper-species are dependent on patches of exposed ground and low vegetation. Such microhabitats are facilitated by megafauna grazing & browsing.
