#Museum30 Jour 23 #CompagneCompagnon
Petite série “vintage” de cartes postales pour exprimer son amour à sa compagne ou à son compagnon ! Au verso, des témoignages tendres et amoureux d’un soldat à sa fiancée. #2GM #collectionsMHN
This #GrandOldMansion was #home to the Holte family for nearly 200 years!
It was later leased by James Watt Jr. who spent most of his time in the 'back rooms', using the west side of the house as the main entrance instead of the east. #Museum30
#Museum30 Day 18: I❤️#mummyportraits & have been lucky enough to spend a fair amount of time investigating these @britishmuseum #ScientificResearch over the years but choosing my favourite is still such a #dilemma! Do you have a favourite @britishmuseum or elsewhere? Let me know!
#museum30 #pen Tool of the trade for Charles Dickens. Painting seen on a visit to @DickensMuseum this summer
#Museum30, jour 12
Alors, si vous deviez choisir, quel #EspaceDeTravail préfèreriez-vous ? À moins que certains ressemblent déjà au(x) vôtre(s) 😉?

#Museum30 Day 10 #Narrative
Pre-Raphaelite member, Henry Holiday (1839-1927), designed a series of tiles based on the fairy tale, 'The Little Mermaid', written by Hans Christian Andersen. They were produced by Minton Hollins & Co in c.1880. #FairyTaleTuesday
Day 29 of #Museum30 ‘Exhibition’
The current exhibition @morethanadodo explores the first animals; new life forms that evolved in the sea over half a billion years ago and laid the foundations for the body plans of all subsequent animal life
Day 26 #Museum30- #SomethingNew
My something new this year is being named a @MuseumsAssoc Radical Changemaker!
#Museum30 - Day 25 - Environment - great art can help interpret a past environment! These great examples by @BrianEngh_Art show what the Morrison Formation may have looked like ~150 million years ago. Brian always puts exceptional and well thought out details into his work.
Catch up Day 15: #museumhero. Has to be @anooshka_rawden for her passion, determination, drive and unfailing kindness and support. Privileged to have followed you @SocAntiquaries #Museum30
#Museum30 - Transport. We're often asked how we managed to get the Tivvy Bumper in our Transport Gallery.. the answer of course is that we built the building around it! Here it is en route in 1978 and after installation in 1979. The engine remains probably our best loved exhibit.
Row, row row your Stanley Ferry Log boat - well maybe not this one! A rare Anglo – Scandinavian find, has highlighted Wakefield’s Viking history. On display in Wakefield Library, above Wakefield Museum, on loan from @YorkMuseumTrust #Museum30 #Transport 🚣♂️ @WFlibraries
#Museum30 Day 20 It is always #afterdark where our specimens come from! Many use bioluminescence. On the underside of this Hatchet fish you can see the light organs which hide it from predators, while the eyes point up to look for prey.
It's day 20, #Museum30, and just #afterdark.
Amazing amount of space in the off site store of the National Museum of Iceland, in Reykjavik, seen on a site tour during a disaster planning conference last year. Energy supplied by geothermal energy #museum30
