Today's entry for @Pixel_Dailies. The #tyrant lizard itself. For the sake of paleontological accuracy, I must clarify: T. rex probably didn't have a feudal society. Also: feathers, posture, proportions, etc. #pixel_art #aseprite #pixel_dailies #bubblegum16 #dinosaur
“F” is for FOSSIL. There aren't many at @InteriorMuseum, but ours speak to the diverse paleontological resources recovered from public lands & found more extensively at other bureaus. Our examples incl. petrified wood, fossilized clams & an Allosaurus skull cast. #MuseumAlphabet
James Parkinson, English surgeon & namesake of #ParkinsonsDisease, was born #OTD 1755.
In addition to his medical research, Parkinson was an avid #fossil collector & published a 3-volume paleontological work (Organic Remains of a Former World).

@Laelaps My name is Hannah Foss, I’m an Aussie-Alaskan artist, and I’ve been lucky enough to be work for a museum as a paleontological illustrator, and I’m currently a research/education outreach artist :)
✨12/31 Sinosauropteryx✨This critter was no bigger than a cat, but was one of the most important Paleontological discoveries ever. The fossil of this creature preserved fluffy filamentous feathers that were so well fossilized, scientists could tell what color they were!
Paleontological math problems * Tamil pulp novels in translation * Comics about meat * Tales from the Tropicool Icy-Land Urban Indian Slum
