Take a charting library and abuse it to get some dots, use another library to project the result on a 3d mesh with some excessive shaders, throw everything into a video effect library to glitch it all and finally politely ask p5 to melt some pixels.

Forces Sonic reminds me a lot of Odyssey Mario. In game with the correct lighting and shaders, the model looks quite alright

It’s just outside of the game, they look pretty terrible.

However I will say, even in game, Sonic’s quills are too short, but it’s not awful

First image is Krita + Spriter workflow, the second image is a frame generated in Blender. It's a 3D model, so I can do turnarounds, more unique poses, particles, and shaders, for the cost of harder manipulate heads, longer skeleton setups, and render times. (3/3)

In my opinion, the first one has good art (good lineart, best background), second has good shaders, and the third could have an good plot.

the end goal was to get a black and white mask so that when I mix the shaders, I would have a fac input. did the same with the eyelashes too. the shaders were turned into rgb for "darken" instead of mix. why? idk. just found darken to be the most similar with the original texture
