Walking boots; retired! Photographed beside the Sidhe. Sketched once upon a time, holding aconites, snowdrops and catkins. Now, soft mosses walk them; aconites, snowdrops, primroses and wild daffodils flourish, fairy footsteps away. Happily ever after journeys on.

Chamomile is still around ,the national flower of Russia. Possibly from the Greek word Akamai-melon meaning ground apple🍎 .In The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, Peter is given chamomile tea after being chased by Mr McGregor ☕️ 🐰

Lords & ladies, Arum maculatum, cuckoo pint & cuckoo’s penis to name a few. The tubers of this plant created a starch which in the 16thC was used to create stiff ruffs. Attached Cicely Mary Barker’s fairy pole dancing 😮🧚‍♀️ little minx!

Found this at Allonby Beach yesterday Wormwood, artemisia absinthium.Used in the 16thC to counteract poison from hemlock,toadstools & sea dragon bites! More famously it contains absinthol which was used in French absinthe 🐉🍸

Was admiring some Primroses when I spotted this wee Common Dog-violet (Viola riviniana) staring at me from the bank.

Day 73 Wood Spurge, Euphorbia amygdaloides not fully open? Plants downy, medium tall and unbranched. Stem and lanceolate lower leaves hairy & reddish; other leaves clustered at tip of stem. Forest of Dean near Littledean.

This week's challenge sent us in search of the graceful Wood Anemone (Anemone nemorosa). This charming comes from an album of paintings by author & Margaret Mary Plues (1828-1901) [73989-1001].
