...Margaret Tarrant's Christmas cards showing the Nativity were also stunning. I bought some on Amazon and sent them out to friends before the postal strike started. I think she was one of the best illustrators of her era.

Today I want to celebrate the beautiful, charming illustrations of Margaret Tarrant,
19 August 1888 – 29 July 1959. Her religious works are still used on greeting cards to this day, and can be found all over still loved by many.

Talking about the marvellous children’s illustrator to reminded me of my love for these three Christmas cards by her. Call me sentimental but 😍😍😍

It's said that Robins got red breasts flying down to Hell taking sips of water to unfortunate souls there. Robins are also said to be symbols of dead loved ones. I never heard either of these tales growing up on Yorks. Are they regional?
