#OCtober entry 24: Gecko
A reclusive wasteland hermit; Gecko’s real name is long lost to time as he takes jobs hunting dangerous animals or fiends. He wanders into settlements only to take or turn in jobs and never removes his Deathclaw mask in public
there are now over 270 African cities, monuments and ruins in this thread
African cities were major centers of commerce and early industry, both in the regional and global context
i'm writing an article on the demographic and industrial history of Africa's urban settlements https://t.co/r7RNFiefyG
Having invaded several settlements, their understanding of multicellular creatures had grown and they had become far more coherent in everything they did. Their own body now more fit and functional than ever before

Settlements in the Prairie Hunters setting had to work within the walls they set up. This greatly improved the community spirit, as many had to donate and volunteer to keep an outpost running when the wilderness is teeming with monsters!
Some common settlement patterns to look out for:
Nucleated settlements around a centre like a church or square.
Linear settlements alongside roads, waterways or shoreline.
Spread out dispersed settlements.
Isolated settlements in the most magical and isolated wilderness alone.
Rats are not often accepted in settlements of humans, elves , dwarves, etc, but she found a place, guarding a cemetery at night from grave robbers and helping occasional rising corpses back to the grave. She makes a little extra by robbing graves herself, she’s pretty good at it.
Here are my upcoming #Starfinder infinite characters so far. My plan is to have at least one for each class and many major planets and settlements.
The Sun - Ifrit Operative (Daredevil)
Aballon - Android Nanocyte
Castrovel - Lashunta Precog
Absalom - Hit-n-Run Human Soldier
Xerak
A hired gun who pillaged several settlements throughout the South Isles.

The green tree swallow dragon is known for being relatively harmless and for having gorgeous iridescent plumage. This dragon mainly eats small animals and shows no particular interest in human settlements. They may nest in abandoned buildings if suitable trees are scarce.
The party’s home, business & transport across this wasteland is this enormous, ancient pre-war battle crawler
They run their salvage and transport company out of it, hauling cargo & passengers between settlements & scavenging ruins and wreck sites along the way for valuable loot https://t.co/9YNwcIpG6l
The miners guild digs tunnels that connect all the settlements in the Mithril Mountains. It is thanks to their efforts that the dwarven nation prospers.
Find them in my new token set:

The last few weeks I have been messing around with a few TINY settlements that *might* be found upriver from Olchamarth....
This is the first one :-)

A Gloom - Another design for this old story I’m reworking. These critters keep to the shadows and dark places of the Wilder. They move across the lands by night, secretly infesting settlements and towns. Just their very presence can cause some real bad vibes.
Sand kobolds, a more spiky species.
They love weapons, and even civilians carry their own around. Not as much fighting, but a display of status. I wouldn't go causing trouble in their settlements though.
@mxalppy This is Yuli! (Or Princess Yulista Sirene if you want the full title.) She’s a fey princess of the Spring Court and loves to take little adventures into mortal settlements to liven up their lives for a fleeting while.

Maybe they were once tamed to establish seafaring settlements, the remnants of which can still be found on some individuals. I imagine young ones could only support grass and some patches of trees, but ancient ones have entire ecosystems on their backs.
Ruined lands down southwest found themselves of use after rare minerals where found there. And soon, settlements where founded.
Bheur hags become more active during winter, using their ice and weather magic to make life miserable for nearby settlements.
A bheur hag carries a twisted gray wooden staff that can be ridden like a flying broom and that augments the hag's magic.
the roper drones are placed around newly acquired areas or near humanoid settlements to help spread the rot and spores for the myconids collective. all while sending its visuals to the spore queen constantly. #drrosebane #digitalart #fantasy #DnD
