So I'm trying to use my old ass iPad to draw on the go and I can only use Ibispaint X which is pretty ok! But it turns out my iPad saturation is ASS which is why this guy turned out so red. Rip

original vs 100% saturation vs ""natural"" colors (which I'm keeping)

(Part 3) Colors don't ever quite process right for ne. Patterns squirm, light floats, and lines and hues just generate from nothing. I deal with a lot of visual noise irl so I try to streamline that via colors and use of high saturation hoping maybe someone will get what I mean.

damn i know i drew this already, but i was messing with the saturation and i look fresh af in different colors

Okay I’m still learning and now he looks better
Corrected saturation mistakes and added some fire
And black bg was a mistake as well

side note abt how i pick colors: i move the hue around a LOT when shading! variation makes things look more interesting imo, or even just increasing/decreasing saturation in certain spots ! i might try to make proper tutorial at some point if ppl are interested but ya

I somehow always think in terms of hsl...if I take ink (hue) and change the lightness, I might end up having white, black and the color on the map....if I change the saturation I'll also end up with some grays in there..

"Blood of saltwater, she was the ocean. Her heart the beat of the tides, her breath the rush of the waves that wore away the shore."

Day 7 More fine linework and crazy colours with my main lady Eideann. Needs moar saturation!

The first two are warm and cool tones, while the last two have dramatic changes in saturation :)

Draw the usual thing. Then start playing around with thing. Now it's just full saturation colour blinded xD.

*turns up the saturation all the way and takes a sip*

Messed with the color and saturation settings on some of my older pieces and really liked the results!

finished coding the first set of glitch filters for the zine maker! these u apply directly in the tool, for the "authentic" look
there will b desaturation, halftones, monochrome, pixelation, & dithering like floydsteinberg…
(image not relevant i just like posting art made in it)

Looking at my shapes and values.

This piece is moving along nicely.

I have lightened my lights, added some warmth and worked on shapes and saturation.

The shapes in the upper right are bugging me.

Will look at this more and think about how to change them .

Day 942: Raven! Tonight's result was simple, but kinda pleasing to look at. I really do enjoy the darker, low saturation blues. Today was also the last day of the old month thankfully! Now I can look forward to a new topic and refresh myself! Here's hoping to a better month! :D

Seems like was yesterday but better late than never I guess.

I'm Louis Grieves, French illustrator. I like pop-colors and pop-culture. Let's push your timeline contrast saturation a bit shall we?
