I can't speak for the Witcher, but often shows trying to be grounded OVER-weather their sets and costumes

The recent Cortes series (left) Amazon made for example has the Aztec clothing and architecture look super dirty and dingy when it really looked like the images on the right

Was physical contact part of in ancient Hugs no. But a respectful 'taking of the arm', yes. By doing so a host showed concern lest the guest should fall and suffer fright, risking loss of spirit. Learn more -https://t.co/YqZ0aePHk0

The Aztecs had eagle and jaguar warriors, time for an axolotl warrior. Some idle sketching for the new character design challenge - and since the prevalent cutesy aesthetic is not my jam, gotta go with a dude in a funny hat.

My strong baby gorl Nennemiz, the last of the Aztec Giants known as a Quinametzin!! She also just happens to be a sassy lil dwarf giant :3 500 years in the future, she fights in memory & justice for her long gone people but struggles with the good & evil in her heart. ♥︎♡

🦃 Turkeys came from Mexico. Mexica/Aztecs served turkey at funeral feasts and used it as burial offerings.

There was also a plague god named Chalchiuhtotolin, which translates to PRECIOUS NIGHT TURKEY

Aztec god Chalchiuhtotolin (the Precious Night Turkey) was a plague god that had the power to change an individual's fate. Turkeys were sometimes eaten on important festival days or used in rituals, including funeral feasts and as burial offerings.
