Finished my overlay today and began working on my twitch panels.
Because my overlay looks like the inside of a helmet, someone in chat said to make a gif that makes the edges glow which sounds cool so gonna do that tomorrow!

I broke my streak of only keeping sharp edges, but that's ok. Have a cute Blue for your timeline. :)
I think the more square head shape I did for this is the sorta style I wanna continue with.
I think it fit with how I tend to draw with lots of sharp edges.
So yeah I think I try to do more of this, try to make my style a little more boxy and less rounded edges.
We use outlines to make up for the lack of depth in an illustration. I omitted them on the fairy, because she is a light source.
It's a trade-off. No outlines means planning values and hues to create contrast everywhere you need edges.

The next pattern attempt: toned down the color contrast of the hexagons and returned the dots because ppl liked them. Hexes are a bump map with blue gloss edges. Also trying a fade on the hair since it takes up so much canvas, but not sold on it. #b3d #bnpr #blender3d

1. base w/ magic fill tool. almost always skintone
2. fill in everything else on a clipped layer
3. fix the color edges on top layer. there WILL be holes of the base color. tbh most are barely noticeable...
