I do it to know where my lights and shadows go
and to make the painting show subtle temperature changes

I was inspired by old anime monochromatic scenes.. and a lot of Detective Conan monochromatic artworks

Human Ranger illustration, watercolor with a Raw Sienna underpainting. It was so relaxing to paint with just three (or four?) colors and I learned a lot.
