Q: Compared to all other designs, suddenly Durandal gets a braid in Knight form. Why is that?

A: In Knight form, her normal hair will block the body more, and may cause problems. So we decided to change her hairstyle to braided.
(I just want to give Durandal a braid hahahaha)

Reason for final design
PE can switch forms, so we hope to strengthen the contrast between them - so we choose Angel for Guardian, and Demon for Knight form.

Even the skirts and hairstyles are different. Angel elements like feathers, and the colours are used to show justice.

Her hairstyle is heavily inspired by Setsuka from Soulcalibur 4 though! I may add some more hair accessories for her in the future to represent royalty.

Also, she is a coconut octopus. That explains the golden highlights and closely aligned suction cups on her ponytail.
