Behold the beautiful world of Arrakis, as seen by John Schoenherr.
Reportedly these images were commissioned for the 1978 Dune calendar and wound up in the book The Illustrated Dune

Hola! Soy Feinhert, dibujo principalmente mis OCs, hago comics (demasiado ambiciosos la mayoría...) y hago worldbuilding sobre estos. Espero que os gusten mis trabajos!

16. D.I.E. VOLUME 2: SPLIT THE PARTY by Kieron Gillen, Stephanie Hans, Clayton Cowles

💮Surprising amount of Bronte content for a D&D comic
💮Amazing worldbuilding but storytelling is confusing at
times
💮Wonderfully complex female character interactions

it was in the korra comics. there was like a whole section devoted to asami and korra talking about how avatar society is still pretty homophobic and its like WHY?? why was this worldbuilding at all necessary

Putting this on Mastodon since it's NOT quite own art (but have perms to repost), and also part of bigger worldbuilding project. Was struggling to make the female Metal deity for one of my worlds. Much thanks to https://t.co/b4hiP2hGNr for… https://t.co/fWxB6RiHLm

Finally done with today's worldbuilding! Karagatan is an ocean world with environments similar to that of Earth's. However, it is home to more extreme conditions such as devastating supertyphoons, stronger tides, and ferocious megafauna that inhabit its deep seas.

Seph, my sona, who isn't at all frog-like. And Saer, an OC who is also part of a species/worldbuilding effort of mine. She's going to be the central character for my thesis project next year, which is gonna be a blend of concept art and narrative storytelling.

Tried another segment! I think is still the best for clarity, worldbuilding, and practical use, but I just absolutely love the vibes of the other two!
