Sinosaurpteryx, one of the few dinosaurs discovered so far with have a distinct pattern and color. Scientists found it to have a red and white ring pattern tail on its fossil.
The bone – which is just over half a metre long – is now in National Museums Scotland’s collections. Every fossil helps us understand more about the time period and the course of evolution.
