We had a lot of fun painting these gems this afternoon. We created the shiny gems and then black and white layered paint to create the filigree surrounds.

My take on "Arcane Lineage" as a sample card assignment in Smartschool class... almost four years ago?! Time has flown! Anyway, I think it was rather fun, although I still rather like the background art without all the foreground stuff. ;-)
