btw the reason I use Hisui’s in-game map despite being not as detailed and partly obscured by clouds is because it’s more accurate to what the region will look like in-game. Not only is the artwork at an angle, but it’s clearly meant to be a stylized rendering of the region.

I wouldn't mind the return of the old "halo" as a separate node from point density, but that works in EEVEE, drawbacks like not casting light on other objects could be remedied with the use of a point light. The look of it really fits with stylized 3D imo.
