@Lea30590226 Don’t forget Paleoartists! There are lots of artists who draw, paint, sculpt, and animate dinosaurs - and quite a few of us happen to be ladies! I’ve been drawing dinosaurs since 1986 and here are a few of my favorites:
In short, it's not at all a good reference for what Gigantopithecus would've actually looked like. I see paleoartists using it way too often because they're unaware of its background. Use this amazing skull of the closely related Sivapithecus (GSP 15000) instead.

this figure alone ruined a whole generation of paleoartists https://t.co/A1RDGaHs2a
Agreed. I've been thinking about this before, even when dinosaur anatomy has limits, there is a reason why artists with experience in concept art have managed to pull off fluid, dynamic scenes before, while the most well known Paleoartists produce poses that feel static only. https://t.co/afgRCIhoOP
#Inktober day 24 #SciArtNOW prompt #VenousVessel and official #Inktober2020 prompt #Dig. DYK that many medical illustrators moonlight as #paleoartists? This piece commemorates their hard work to help us under the planet better! #InktoberDig #SciArtInk #Sciartober #Drawtober
Brian Franczak died a few weeks ago, and while he wasn't a paleoartist I was familiar with by name, his pieces have definitely been influential to this generation of paleoartists. A personal example; his Prenocephale showed me that there was a way to incorporate palm trees...
I rendered myself and some of my best friends in this community as #battlepaleoartists!! From left to right, we got me, Luxquine Johnson, @Prehistorica_CM, @HBivittatus, @HuitzilinF_Art, @randompaleonerd, @Cam_ornitho and @VastorTenebrous!!
Fossil plants are an informative and super cool topic for artists, and it really helps when paleoartists put time in to communicate paleobotany so other artists can improve their work. Big thanks to @MaijaKarala for her informative 2014 blog on DPF fossil plants #FossilFriday
And of course, here all of them.

@paleobyliam Can't narrow down to just one! There are a lot of contemporary paleoartists I admire, like Willoughby and Conway, but today I want to highlight some paleoartists whose work I grew up with.
First: Brian Franczak! The lighting and scale make me feel a lot of things. Childhood faves
