“who’s next?” ••• Nyx, my gnome bard! She’s a gladiator mock-fighter from a family of acrobats. She’s pretty tight.

"Albert Joseph Pénot (1862–1930) was a French painter known for female nudes. Today, he is more popularly and specifically recognized for a subset of paintings centering on women of darker, more macabre themes."
And bats.
And witches...
Sometimes I do doodles of stupid things I imagine.

When I was a kid, Golbat freaked me out since I was not a huge fan of bats. If I could have show my kid self this picture it would have save me a lot of nightmares cause this is down right hilarious.

FAIRIES & BATS. Arthur #Rackham's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' (1908) shows fairies warring with #bats in a bid to steal their 'their leathern wings' . Elsewhere in John Ansteer Fitgzerald (1819 – 1906) bad fairies spear bats - Hey fairies leave those bats alone!! #BatsUnited
MOONBATS. The pejorative expression comes from the Great Moon Hoax (1835) in which U.S scientists 'discovered' human-like creatures on the moon: "Unlike earth-bound humans, these creatures ... had wings composed of a thin membrane, without hair, lying snugly upon their backs."
VAMPIRE BATS. Bats are not found in very early #vampire lore but the Spanish came back from the New World with stories of blood-sucking bats. Buffon named them 'vampire bats' in 1774 & Darwin popularised them in 1832 sketching them in Chile.
