Re, underpainting: This fanart of Susannah Dean from the Dark Tower was an trial in blending colors for natural tones - particularly with skin. Did light green 1st, then layered purple over it to make a warm brown. I then added reds, blues, & brownish-gray. I ❤️ the results!

I tested out Clips colorize feature with an oc baby and?? I love it??? (Please note I touched this up and This isn’t entirely clip studio I used it as a super quick and easy underpainting)

This is another piece that I did the grayscale base drawing with, but I also took the idea up a notch by doing some colored underpainting as well. I discovered that I could kind of layer watercolor by spraying it with workable fixitif after it dried. :P
