Kim Stanley Robinson's MARS trilogy changed my view of Mars. He brings its landscapes to life. Of course, it's fiction, so he dodges reality as he likes. It doesn't accurately portray Mars settlement or terraforming. But it'll survive The Great Portree Library Book Cull of 2021.

The Droplhorse – Tiny elemental, chaotic neutral

A soft glow from primeval times. On rare occasions, the droplhorse can be observed dancing and fluttering through drizzle and fog. Especially after heavy rainfall they seem to dwell near settlements.
