Still, I like to use the bucket tool too! However, to make sure I don't need to worry about gaps, I like to do an outline [3]. Once the colored area is fully sealed off, use the magic wand tool to select the area outside the colored area [4].

Any Photoshop Experts?

1st IMAGE: Sometimes when I export .pngs, it gives it these stray pixels around the outline.

2nd + 3rd: But in Photoshop, against both a light and dark bg, I don't see any, so there's nothing to erase?

I'm not really sure if I like the outlines, but I think they look a little weird without them. I also don't really like how Crono's face turned out, and there's a lot of different brushes I experimented with... I'm not sure. Here's a version without either.

If u mean me, then no. My artstyle are often highlighted, the eyes are brighter, the outline is with a diffrent tool and the most inportant their: i do put always my watermark in sketches or atworks...here are few examples what i mean just in case oo
