Grieving is a very painful process. I’ve learned it comes in waves. My doctor told me I have to find a way to relieve my stress, so I’ve started what I call art therapy. Mostly doodles of myself being weird.
Maybe someday I can draw something happy. 😅

I appreciate genuine efforts to audition and give visiblity to groups long overlooked in anime's casting process. The likes of @Funimation with My Hero Academia & DBSuper, @NYAV_Post with Tokyo Godfathers & @SoundCadence with Kemono Friends give me hope other studios will follow.
Didn't get nearly enough done today but might be interesting to show a bit more of my process.
For making larger structures (anything from the angels to the mausoleum), it helps composing a silhouette of basic geometric shape tiles and then start to chisel out a few guidelines
I thought it was time to try drawing the memorable Kushala Daora from Monster Hunter, with a little hint of humanising. I wasn't prepared for how much work it would require, but I wanted to see it through to the end and try learn from that process.

Another even quicker piece. I am increasingly more discontent with my inability to produce anything decent in a reasonable time frame so I'm gonna be doing a lot of quick pieces, possibly daily, to try and refine my process.

@EbonyGorilla Heavily detailed wings like that, yeah most definitely. Just learning to get wings down was hard enough, but I take a lot of shortcuts when it comes to feathers. Fortunately, the dragons in these comics mostly have membraneous or furred wings to better expidite the process.
Zbrush screens and very late stage WIPs. I have lost all the pictures of unpainted figure and the printing process.
@Weary_canary Hey I'm Kait! I like drawing figures and food and oftentimes enjoy using warm colors and tones. My worst habit is probably not practicing or creating consistently haha but its a process. Thanks for the thread Sam! 😊💛
