Sharing the Step by Step. I feel more confortable working from basic shapes and silhouette from the beginning. Using clipping mask and progressively checking my values, adding more contrast where is needed and detailing where I want the viewer to focus. 👌⭐️

Spotting dense blacks and cast shadows first gives you scaffolding to drop the rest of the middling values in later.

Value reigns over hue and saturation with an iron glove. If it’s right, the others can be super out-there and work.

It’s a common thing, but it bears repeating.
