I've been looking back at Universal Studio's theme park rides back in the 90s. I honestly miss the nostalgia of these rides, they were meant to show the history of successful and iconic films.

One lens kaiju films are seldom looked at in are through Japan’s Shinto religious traditions. These movies have very heavy Shinto overtones often lost on Westerners. There are frequent themes of the natural world being thrown out of balance and disaster coming to restore balance.

As much as I detest the Disney live-action remakes and what they stand for, those are two of the only Disney animated films I can actually see being done well in a live-action remake. Though I much prefer the way they are. Who could possibly recapture Vinny and Mole in real life?

one of the best films i’ve seen in a while. if you haven’t, please please watch it. it’s SO GOOD. plot is simple, stakes are high. the sets are stunning. score is superb. and the continuous shot format feels so natural and thrilling. aahh it’s so good. 🤍

Films I watched today:

SATAN'S CHEERLEADERS (1977)

ALICE (1988) [This Czech stop-motion version states in the credits that it is "inspired by" Alice In Wonderland, which is true in the same sense that my stress nightmares are "inspired by" my high school and uni years. 😅]

One thing I love about Marcell Jankovics' first two films... He and his crew went HARD in their respective opening sequences:

Now that the filming of has started, it is to be expected that Arthur and Mera will have new suits and looks, but I was wondering, if they will be the same from the animated series King of Atlantis? since this serves as a link between both films.

I'm actually reading the book. The High Republic itself is not "Woke" but the characters & tropes are.

Diversity is emphasized over story which is why press releases aren't well received.

On top of that Lucas Films and staff are blatantly "Woke" which doesn't help matters.

art was influenced by early 20th century losing original forms & became abstract concepts. He referenced painting a concert in 1911. Did he have synaesthesia, this is oft debated. Films of him show his fluid & rhythmic gestural technique
