Snowbound is yet another bat from the mountain colony, named for the weather condition he was born in. He like many in the colony, is a hunter, though he sometimes stays behind to do other tasks.

The late Bird catches the Rays.
One good thing about autumn is that you can go out 2h after sunrise and conditions are still nice. Like this scene I came along yesterday. What an unexpected escalation of rays next to an old beech. See the moutnains in the gap under the branches.
