1. Solid lineart.
2. Soft shade with a multiply layer over a flat bg.
3. Do flats separately.
4. Combine all.
5. Lock pixels.
6. Begin to blend over top, sampling and switching between hard and soft brush to blend out the lines and and do little details.

First attempt painting without doing any lineart.
It actually works wonders, since I’m bad at colouring after the lines. I also learned shading the neck area by watching papa’s new costume. So grateful of the improvement, uh I might cry… this study’s been so fruitful.

i'd say "sexy???" but that's just because i do EVERYTHING with it!! (the lines, the coloring and the shading: first picture) but "sexy?" is also a great brush for the lineart. MMMM CHRUNCHY (second picture)
