Portrait of Jim Matthews, 1945. He and Mayan served together in the same Army unit in Europe during that period. In a drawing of a poker game done at Camp Lucky Strike, France, Matthews is the central figure wearing spectacles.

I’m re-watching Trollhunters cause I don’t remember anything and I wanna see the new show, Wizards, but god I just saw the “Jim makes the choice to lose his humanity and we’re gonna treat it like a su*cide metaphor” episode and I’m 🙃

What was nice, was usually going from a artist I liked, in this case Pollina and them bringing in some low tier hack, but they bring in Jim Cheung to do a good chunk of the 19 issues after Pollina left. That was until Revolution/Counter X.

Don't have much in terms of critique.

I figure if you're gonna go the way of classic fantasy, that Brian Froud can serve as inspiration. He did concept art for Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, and various faerie / folklore paintings.
