For AEW/AWACS layout... i always prefer rotodome or "staticdome" as i want true 360 Degrees coverage. These are some AEW's of my concepts.

Tu-16, UAV, Tiltrotor, Conventional and there are actually some more.

AEW is one of my favorite aircraft to make.
