I've had the idea of water monsters in my world of dragon's and the biggest inspiration is the Half life 2 ichthyosaur. i imagine something similar to it lives in the water and gives water dragon's a hard time. Just a concept right now and i'm not gonna copy it.
I really need a new laptop, so I've made some halloween fish on the awesome GoneFEViral's marine base!

I have nothing productive to share at the moment, so have a non-fish from last year (Ichthyosaurus communis with very speculative insulation blubber around the cranial area to protect le brain). Chonk.

DIGITAL ICHTHYOSAURS AND REBUILDING IN THREE DIMENSIONS - https://t.co/x41Z3JowXm After 200 years of study there remain many questions about the biology of the Jurassic fish-like sea dragons, ichthyosaurs. One for the whole family!

A #paleoart salute to ichthyosaurs this #FossilFriday: splendid beasts that I've had an excuse to restore several times recently. Marine reptiles are really fun to draw and these have been a blast to work on. Here's Temnodontosaurus, Ichthyosaurus, Shonisaurus and Leptonectes.
Long ago I wanted to enter OCTs for a first time with dinosaur-obsessed lich named Franklin and his pet ichthyosaur Iggy but didn't get the chance to. Now uni's out of the way, here's a render, character sheets and audition on the way!

Pantosaurus was a cryptoclidid from the Sundance Sea, adjacent to the famous Morrison formation. It’s notable for one containing preserved stomach contents of an ichthyosaur embryo. #MorrisonWeek
New #paleoart at @Patreon for #FossilFriday: the giant flippered, grumpy-faced and long-snouted ichthyosaur Leptonectes tenuirostris. There's a hi-res version and heaps of similar content awaiting you at Patreon for just $1 a month. https://t.co/PXlmg1u290
It’s the “Mother of Paleontology,” Mary Anning’s, birthday! Born #OTD in 1799, she hailed from Dorset, England, & grew up collecting fossils. A few of her many accomplishments include unearthing one of the first ichthyosaurs & discovering Dimorphodon & Plesiosaurus! #FossilFriday
#FossilFriday May 21, 1799, #birthday of Mary #Anning. Carpenter daughter, she founded a fossil business in Lyme Regis, Dorset, making important discoveries like complete skeletons of Ichthyosaurus & Plesiosaurus

The Bone Hunter in this months issue, is the fascinating story of Mary Anning, one of the greatest fossil hunters and the first person to discover a complete Ichthyosaurus skeleton. Brilliant art by Miriam Serafin https://t.co/OH00FUvuPO #reading #maryanning #womeninSTEM #fossils

April 6, 1821, the description of the very first ichthyosaurs and plesiosaurs by William Conybeare published. Both fossils were found by palaeontologist Mary Anning 🪨🔨

@thejohnconway @TetZoo For more or less the same reason I add keels to my ichthyosaurs but I think that’s already a more well established thing
Oh, look. It's #MosasaurMonday! I confess, I have always had as weakness for Heinrich Harder's incredibly weird 1912 pairing of a bizarrely long-necked, frilled ?tylosaurine with two ichthyosaurs and their exposed paddle bones. It's almost surrealism.
