“The artist’s task is to save the soul of mankind; and anything less is a dithering while Rome burns. (…) if the artists cannot find the way, then the way cannot be found.”
Terence McKenna
Have an awesome day. 🙏🙌
I am genuinely loving this @jrdsctt & @LukaPiskorec project on https://t.co/Vxi8dAaDE7 - some of these lofi dithered pieces are just incredible. Luka developed a really unique algorithm for making these.
GLITCHVERSE rules.
4x4x4 series is close to done! Its been an incredible fun challenge exploring how 3D and 4x4 dithering melt together in this two colors echo of the past. Thanks to everyone sharing, collecting supporting this project. Will be doing two more pieces in this round ⬛️⬜️

The close-up detail, dithering & distortion appreciation post! I mean ...🤤🖤🔥

I improved the resolution/detail in the PCE image converter (which has a small side effect of better pixel distribution in the dither). Definitely helps with small detailed patterns and hair. Left is the new process, right is the old:
Managed to figure out fast pattern dithering with arbitrary palettes :)) It's really fun to experiment with different colour combinations! #blender3d
<- he is amazed by the beauty of the [crossed out: world] laser printer dithering. especially for these pages because they're so like dark or have subtle gradients...
Floyd-Steinberg, Bayer, and Random dithering in #blender3d, with the basics down I might move on to more esoteric dithering algorithms soon :-)
💚 Wally was always my fav Pokemon character, since he's sensitive and has asthma(?) like me! I felt frivolous on vacation today so did a #1bitart and #2bitart practice recreation of a #PokemonAdventureManga panel! #pixelart #ditheringpatterns #Ralts #Keckleon #Roselia
I've decided to take my #blender3d post-processing experiments to Python, putting together a little script to explore quantization and dithering. Here are some effects comparing RGB and YUV colour space :0
fast approximate decode of latents produces nice pixel art
we could probably eliminate the dithering artifacts by learning a convolution instead of just using a Linear layer, but honestly I quite like it
Match 1.2 - Duck Cake vs Tradies
Winner: Tradies (5-0)
Despite the overwhelming vote, this one was really hard. Lots of dithering.
