Can't narrow down to just one! There are a lot of contemporary paleoartists I admire, like Willoughby and Conway, but today I want to highlight some paleoartists whose work I grew up with.
First: Brian Franczak! The lighting and scale make me feel a lot of things. Childhood faves

Today's Day 18: Caturday.
Working with extinct animals, its sometimes hard to imagine how the species would have looked in life . The work of paleoartists such as this drawing by Mauricio Anton provide an insight into these amazing big cats (Smilodon)

He doesn't have a Twitter, but everyone should check out Lucas Attwell. One of my favorite up-and-coming paleoartists with a knack for flora and a painterly style. He's only 18(!!!) which makes me want to die only a little.

I just wanted to remind everyone that is an AMAZING artist! She is one the paleoartists I admire the most and that had been most influential for me as an artist! Just look at these beautiful examples of her work!

Paleoartists John Conway and C.M. Kosemen drew animals like the way Hollywood draws dinosaurs to show us why art can sometimes be so flawed...just skin draped over bone.

Very few work on fish regularly, but even clades you would think are pretty normal can have amazing members, and in the case of pycnodonts we actually have several families of super weird fish. Rostropycnodus is just one of the medium weird guys.
