@EdizBlues Very nice!
I also love:
Dionysos and the Agathos Daimon (from Pompeii)

#FrescoFriday - A rather splendid fresco showing the myth of Europa and the Bull, from the House of Jason, Pompeii (IX.5.18). Yes, Zeus is up to more of his bullshit! #Mythology #Art

@NapasioWorld This use of Pompeii in a chaotic setting, coupled with the mythical creatures like Medusa, aliens, robots, and unicorn gives a fresh twist to Karl Bryullov’s original painting “The Last Day of Pompeii”.
@holland_tom @gordoncorera @TheRestHistory Am listening to it in Pompeii surrounded by pigeons.

An erotic fresco of the Greek myth of 'Leda and the swan', discovered in Pompeii. (late 2nd - early 1st Century BC)
In Greek mythology the God Zeus takes the form of a swan and seduces or rapes Leda.

@Shubham2978 That means that your work is beautiful as the last day of Pompeii (masterpiece by Karl Bryullov) 🤙
I did my PhD on #Roman wall painting but the frescoes from Pompeii will never cease to amaze me: a beautiful dove from the Casa del Bracciale d'oro.
On display in the special exhibition "Art and sensuality in the houses of Pompeii" - in Pompeii.

As patron deity of #Pompeii, Venus certainly knew how to arrive in style! Here's Venus Pompeiana in an elephant-drawn quadriga, from the frontage of the House of Verecundus (IX.7.6)
The personification of Spring apparently and lovely though she is it’s the detail of her upturned foot so we can see her sole that I adore the most. #Pompeii

First stop - the Naples National Archaeological Museum.
I knew what to expect - mostly - but there’s nothing to quite prepare you for staring down the level of artistry in the two millennia-old frescoes, mostly salvaged from houses in Pompeii and housed here 🧵
I could see @RakuenPrime dying like this if they were at Pompeii
