Two more characters I'll properly introduce later: Biyos Velphite (Raptor) and Erebas Onekko (Smilodon). The former's been an unnamed character I've been drawing for years, the latter was drawn alongside Saruko. Both characters have history with that shady bioengineering group.

Was doodling and managed to make a new character. Meet Mako, named after the mako shark. Wanted to do a play on Megolodon but I didn’t feel it fit him.

If I were smarter about these, I'd catalogue all of the gryphon art people tag me in or mention in fan mail. Let me see if I can find it... I think it's been mostly talk last year, then one or two pieces.

Here's @/Smatterbrain's smilodon+terror bird to distract you while I look.

Yup! The megalodon was preserved in the iceberg for millions of years. It finally escaped in 2015.

Cool detail: the iceberg's tip is actually the megalodon's fin!

On my birthday, for some reason, we started talking about the ocean and megalodon and then huge sea creatures, and then that spun into sea creatures made of trash and plastic because of pollution... I'm telling you how we come up with some of these ideas is a little nutty.

So, it's been a while since I've done a fully rendered character, background and all huh?

Let's put a change to that trend with this Melodonian Blacksmith lass, shall we?

I'd also love to see a prehistoric version, too! When we were looking at possible Hatzel designs, did a smilodon + terrortooth drawing that has really stuck with me as a sort of... prehistoric North American gryphon. We nicknamed her Terrortooth.
