Shoot memories. Last summer, Iki island, four days spent with an illustrator legend to explore remote locations that inspired a live drawing piece. Katsuya Terada - Life Drawing: https://t.co/w5ZZFabbRG

I could legit stare at Katsuya Terada's illustration for Zelda all day...
I was always a fan of the Katsuya Terada watercolour look in older Legend of Zelda illustrations. His use of colour felt so magical & other worldly.
Anyway here's another Female Link.

@Conor419 @LukeTimothy @Sazorak @jeffgerstmann First off, that second image isn't part of the concept art for the game it was art that Katsuya Terada made for a player's guide of link's awakening.
Secondly, ya'll seem to magically forget the rest of the concept art looked all bright and happy:
@jocelynkimchi True story, I met Katsuya Terada at a Kinokuniya and i told him i loved his works from this series of Zelda pictures. Particularly how he made the thighs big for this picture (because it really gave the characters weight). Dunno if it was translated weird, but he smiled awkwardly
#comicsdna If I had to peg down the four most influential books to my style, it'd be these four. First I wanted to illustrate like Yas, then I wanted to mimic Pope's flowing brush lines, then Terada's brilliant linework. The Taschen Manga book exposed me to everything else.
