[WiP] Yup this lower section is a nightmare to texture while still keeping it readable. Had to redraw some sections several times as they just kept looking like pixel-vomit.
Still having a blast with it though, I'm so dang happy with this project.

About 40% of the way there in terms of textures. He really is Pink's twin considering I basically color picked all her features for this.

Tried out some brushes I grabbed and trying out using a texture on overlay over the whole piece. Worked out nice and looks a lot more like paper art than digital! I like this method :)

like, I love my gnome, but this texture is so bad, and it got made WORSE with Shadowlands because they removed all the 2d textures on the body, so it's just a glued on piece of fur.

Then compare it to mechagnomes with their clearly crisp, modern hair slapped onto a 2012 face.

If you want an update here's the first digital colored base (textures like lace and fishnet and etc. are done last and the purples are in place of black so i can tell which layer is which )
