Since L.A. Noire is back in people's minds, I'd just like to take this opportunity to ask for another game in the series... specifically, one with Jack Kelso as the protagonist working as a freelance detective in a 1950s-era San Francisco.

Bus Stop ('56)

A loud and frustrating romance with annoying, boisterous characters that had just enough appeal to keep me interested. The worst #MarilynMonroe film I've seen so far, but contains one of her most versatile performances.

The Short SA.4 Sperrin (named after the Sperrin Mountains) was a British jet bomber design of the early 1950s. It was a conventional design, intended to be used as a 'fall-back' in case any of the more 'radical' V-Bombers failed to enter production. Only two Sperrins were built.
@_cinnamoro11_ i know that a lot of images were often painted over to get a certain “ideal look” and i can’t really find the exact terminology used for this technique but ive seen it called “1950s photoshop” and it was HEAVILY used in pinup photography:
Georgia O'Keeffe is best known for her close-up, or large-scale flower paintings, which she painted from the mid-1920s through the 1950s. She made about 200 paintings of flowers of the more than 2,000 paintings that she made over her career.
Modelsheets of "simplified" Peter Pan characters designed by Tom Oreb. These were for Disney's TV commercial division during the mid-1950s. The Peter Pan ads were for Peter Pan peanut butter, natch. #wardsmorguefile
The worlds first jet flying boat fighter certainly inspired commercial artists of the early 1950s.
Here, an advert, a post card and a comic book centre spread cutaway, all feature the Saunders Roe A1; a type who's role was by-passed by history and technology in a few short years.
