The very rocky process in coloring Teraterpeton. Went from “jungle demon” to “caramel latte” to the final result (“plague doctor iguana”?)

On to Teraterpeton itself. The elongated skull is the most eye-catching feature, esp compared to its relatives. Interestingly, the big hole in the snout was likely an external narial fenestra. Thus, the nostrils were much farther back than in others.

Palaeoloxodon namadicus is likely the biggest land mammal to exist. I imagine if they existed today, the space between their tusks would be a pretty sweet place to set up a hammock. Just watch out for that trunk, its a tickler.
