Lyonel Feininger (1871-1956) was a German-American painter, and a leading exponent of Expressionism. He also was a caricaturist and comic strip artist. He was born and grew up in New York, going to Germany to study and perfect his art. At 36, he began to work as a fine artist.

This is painting by Jackson Pollock that I own. It's called "Norma Jean". Because Pollock writes Marilyn Monroe's real name "Norma Jean" on the left leg. Out of all the Marilyn paintings Pollock made of her. I like this one the best. It's 16" X 20". Made in 1956.
