The census, ceramics, fashion, windows…..it was great to see new work inspired by the #ElizabethanHouse earlier this week. Third year 3D Design Crafts students from @plymouthart created some great pieces using a live brief based on our historic property at #32NewStreet.

This weekend, a conference #atTheH explores the subterranean world of Elizabethan Catholic print and scribal culture, set against the backdrop of press censorship, illicit printing, book smuggling, and subversive scribal publication. More details here: https://t.co/wbjIIDLuZ8

Animated puppet film, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (1959) by Jirí Trnka. I’ve featured works by Trnka before (remember The Hand?), but this one is probably his masterpiece.
The setting is Greek, not Elizabethan, like so many other adaptations, and it’s kind of sensual, warm.
Hordak! His look reminds me of Elizabethan fashion! Especially the 80s design, which has so much going on! 😂 80s Hordak is very dramatic 😋I love the new emo Hordak!

So close to being done with Aziraphale's Elizabethan outfit for Dragoncon! We had a difficult time finding exactly the right trim and ended up frankensteining a lot of it.
Currently working heavily with male outfit models. All built on VS ADAM Male Body Model. Updating even recent textures/meshes. In general, just pushing things a bit further for a Medieval (quasi-Tudor/Elizabethan) collection. #medieval #tudor #3dmodel #Videogame #Concept
New #pokemon trailer today!! #Alcremie is super adorable!! I'm really loving the new Pokemon designs! Just had to draw her!
Her design made me think of Victorian or Elizabethan aesthetic. Really wanted to draw that crazy hair! <3

A few weeks ago, we posted several plates from 'Costumes of the World' that illustrated some fashions of Elizabethan England. We just haven’t been able to get those ruffs & collars out of our minds. We went in search of a few more and 'Le Costume Historique' did not disappoint!
Today for #FashionFriday we continue our fashion tour of history with a look around the Elizabethan period, roughly 1550-1620. We present a number of hand-painted fashion plates from 'Costumes of the World.' See more fancy fashions here: https://t.co/ZDyZRBC8JH
