Over the summer, my dad asked me to paint a train for him, then handed me this very tiny photo he took ...30? years ago. It's a cogwheel train that goes up Mt. Washington in New Hampshire.

Didn't like composition, so I cropped it down after scanning. Paint is walnut and elm.

This late 2nd c mosaic found in a possible church at Silchester was lovingly recorded in a watercolour by George Edward Fox in 1892😍

It was lifted in 1961 for Reading Museum
