Happy to the Southern Stingray (Dasyatis americana)!

They live in the Atlantic from New England to South America, create huge pits to expose their food in the sediment, & communicate to each other with pheromones! Incredible animals!

Happy Ever wondered what the difference between Skates & Rays is?

A big one is that Skates lay eggs whereas Rays give live birth! Skates also tend to be smaller & lack the stinging barbs the Rays have.

Both incredible animals!

It's and I finished up this little cownose ray doodle I did recently because they are are lovely little creatures. Found up and down the western Atlantic and Caribbean, these eagle rays can be seen in massive migrating schools of up to 10,000.

Note the near absence of evolutionary distinct species in the Americas... As for birds and Primates, there seems to be and underwater 'Old World' vs. "New World' for sharks and rays!
