I must bring into light, how much better the concept design for X8 X is, than the final one. At hindsight. Its not that different, but the concept design has better proportions and isn't as otherworldly lank as the final one. The face is also better, in my opinion.

There's plenty of references to him unarmored most of them show him as having shoes of some sort, some keep the proportions of the legs as they are in the game, some don't but even the ending of MM1 he has different colored shoes/feet
