I'm gonna try experimenting more with less textured brushes when I work. I'm very conflicted when using this brush since the blending can look pretty nice but I also feel it tends to look kind of crusty sometimes (like in the last doodle I posted)

Ahh sorry, I wasn’t really clear with that. I meant like a soft glow from the sun kind of thing closer to the horizon (except not as ugly as my quick blend), or if you were going with a heavier contrast like you have now for a stronger vibe. I’m loving seeing your process!
