Recently stumbled upon Crash's in-game model from the N. Sane trilogy and decided to make it printable! The detail was brought into the geometry by cranking up the subdivisions and feeding the normal maps into a displace modifier - never seen it work so well on a game model! 👍

Basically this effects are combinations of modifiers. Overall shape is made from vertex weight proximity and displace. One important tip is a second displace. Second displace sees mesh displaced by first one, so that explosion shape can be achieved. (continue)
