Oh hi #FlockOfArtists I am Gabriel and I am a paleoartist and scientific illustrator. I illustrate and reconstruct a lot of extinct and extant animals, and that of course includes a lot of birds! Here are a few of them! #paleoart #sciart #birds
Face reconstruction of the Roman emperor Vitellius (r.16 April - 22 December 69 AD) https://t.co/WTP2cwHY2P
Reconstructing sauropterygians and their often not very flexible bodies, paddled feet and mouth full teeth is quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do! #paleoart #sciart #sauropterygians
Today I present you my reconstruction of a Dire wolf (Aenocyon dirus). Fur is all hand drawn

@Tomozaurus @aelgorriaga1 It's mostly thought of as a medium to large tree, based on the leaf-beds in the Gristhorpe plant beds. However I suspect there may have been some variation within the genus (if it does represent a biological genus). I've reconstructed the Crato specimen as a small tree.
Okay but Sojourn looks so similar to Blackwatch Genji w her cybernetics??? I bet she had something to do w his reconstruction
Pakicetus - ancient whale or snooty hippo? Went for a chonkier, more sparsely-haired reconstruction of Ye Olde Whale.
the manner in which she reconstructed and redefined what it meant to convey and obtain the concupiscent anomalistic clearance that divine idiosyncrasy is ebulliently inevitable while simultaneously substantiating and adumbrating what it possesses

Hi, I am Gabriel and I am a paleoartist and scientific illustrator. I illustrate/reconstruct both extant and extinct animals, particularly tetrapods (although lately I have done quite a lot of invertebrates) 😊
Images of the #Roman mansio of Alfoldean #WestSussex reconstructed by the late great Victor Ambrus
The 3 days spent digging here in 2005 for @thetimeteam were very (very very very) wet, but Victor kept drawing, sketching and painting throughout

Because this fish is rather obscure and there's only a handful fossils to look for reconstructing, I used its close relative the Strunius and Qingmenodus as reference and also use extant Hoplias sp. as other reference, that gave me 2 version of the Onychodus as illustrated below

My first-ever palaeoart illustration appeared in paper today! The paper by V. Baranov looked at Gedanoleria fly larvae locked in Baltic amber. Here is my reconstruction of the flies, maggots and things they fed on.
I can call myself a "professional" palaeoartist now.
@MartinB_Archaeo @archaeoart @fen_ken @MatthewPope @Sarah_May1 @DavidPetts1 Wish we had the money for reconstruction art (!) but, if it helps, the artists who have recently caught our eye include (in no particular order)

Frantisek Kupka, Babylon 1906. But more likely Assyria, because of conical helmets, statues and chariots. Modern archeological consensus also places Hanging Gardens in Nineveh. Reconstruction by Terry Ball @archaeologyart
