This is what Evergreen and Jelly Beans Have Power was playing around with. Her solution to using her abilities makes absolutely no logical sense, but in her head it has this pseudo-scientific logic, and that's why it works - just like her regular science, which is magical too!
Simon, Betty, Evergreen etc. all accept that they are using a combination of magic and science, because they use a pseudo-scientific logic in their magic. PB is also using this logical magic, but she is unaware of it being unscientific as she has never known a non magical world.
Because of Sweet Home I realized that there are three archetypes for megane characters: the super nice character, the cold and logical character, and the manipulative and possibly super evil character. And, uh, I like all three ahahaha. 😅 Examples below:

One project I created this year was a collaborative entry into the Urban Confluence design competition for a landmark to articulate the urban identity of San Jose, CA. The design aimed to respond to its surroundings while conveying a broader message about technological progress.
